Urban Design Landscape Architecture – Local and Central Government

Design Review & Advisory
Public Domain Design
Environmental Improvements

I have extensive and proven expertise in the design and development of public spaces, including large Council and Government managed projects, in New Zealand and in Australia. In my 25 years experience I have worked on a range of both small and large sized projects including transport infrastructure, mixed use developments, housing and community developments, recreational and civic infrastructure.

My current focus is to create attractive, functional public spaces. This covers public placemaking, parks and reserves, streets, vegetation restoration projects and waterfronts and waterways.

My passion includes the more specialist area of Water Sensitive Urban Design by managing storm water in nature-based ways and achieving water neutrality. This approach integrates stormwater management with a positive environmental, cultural and aesthetic benefit.

I now build on this background to focus on smaller urban design and landscape projects which:

  • Contribute to climate and biodiversity
  • Manage water in future friendly ways
  • Acknowledge cultural presence
  • Advance the public interest and social cohesion
  • Improve people’s wellbeing.

Delivering urban design and landscape architecture expertise to actively recognise and respond to our current changing climate.
Applying quality design to develop climate positive civic places and spaces.
I nurture our future use and conservation of natural resources.
And create enticing modern designs, that convey a welcome and warmth to all people across a cultures and abilities.
