I offer a tailored approach to each client and project.
For public projects this starts with listening to clients and stakeholders and respectful consideration of end users. We inform the project through research into the place, the communities and the stories of its past and present to identify positive opportunities for the future. Design is approached as an iterative, collaborative process that deliberately builds on feedback opportunities.
For private projects this starts with listening to clients and their values and intentions. Through investigating the qualities of the site and the stories of its past and present we identify opportunities and approaches to work with the client. Through an experienced inventive design approach, we can elevate the client’s aspirations to create desirable, functional, environmentally positive places. This too is an iterative process building on collaboration and feedback.
I believe effective design grants equitable access, enhances public health and wellbeing, and expresses the diversity of people. The public domain is for everyone and design improves lives.
I want to specifically design for climate change by developing effective, sustainable and functional solutions that directly reduces carbon levels. I focus particularly on restoring water health.
I support honouring Te Tiriti to fully acknowledge the tangata whenua and reflecting this in design. I work to connect people with their place.
Creating desirable, expressive places through collaborative processes. Design that inspires & invites.
I create desirable, expressive places that inspire and invite. I believe collaboration gives the best designs.
